This was the first time I attended the parade since my drinking days. I was honored to be invited by Fr. Tom Johns who was being honored as “Co-Chair.” We got to enjoy the parade and the sunny day in Cleveland and had a nice afternoon and dinner at the Renaisance on Public Square. There is a great video on my “Video Blog” of Fr. Johns’ acceptance speech. They chose him to honor the “Year for priests.” There were a number of his good priests friends in attendance and he talks about two of the greatest groups he belongs to: one is the Priesthood and the other is the East Side Irish American Club.
