Bulletin Column: Living Bread Radio Tower Blessing

By October 4, 2009Uncategorized

Dear Friends,

I was invited to Youngstown for the blessing of the new tower for AM
1060 “Living Bread Radio.” We will now have Catholic radio not only in
Northfield, but throughout Cleveland. Bishop A. J. Quinn, retired
auxiliary Bishop, from our Diocese presided over the service. I majored
in Communications at Cleveland State University and one of my passions
now as a priest is to use the media to spread the Good News so I am very
happy to be involved in this. It was celebrated on the Feast of the
Archangels, who like the airwaves, are unseen but speak to us the
message of God.

Last week our grade school children got to see some freestyle BMX in the
parking lot. I had an appointment in my office and could hear all of
the children screaming as the guys were doing flips and jumps so I
thought it would be cool if I rode my bike down. Unfortunately it was
right at the time when they were trying to teach the kids a lesson about
not trying to do this at home. So I decided not to show them this
amazing trick I know.

Coming up Sunday afternoon is “Kick it!” Which is a fundraiser that a
lot of our teens are involved in and should be a lot of fun. We had a
practice night at our first FUEL meeting.

Also this Wednesday I’ll be at
Holy Angels in Bainbridge for an evening reflection for Right to Life.
“Left to Tell: Lessons from Rwanda for America’s Abortion Holocaust. It
will begin with mass at 7pm with the talk to follow. To register please
email Bill Johnson [chagrinfalls@yahoo.com] or call Holy Angels for more
information (440-708-0000). You’ll be able to hear a preview Tuesday
morning when I’ll be live on AM 1120 WHKW ‘Living the Word.’ It airs M-F
at 10:30am.

May God Bless you all,

Fr. Michael
